English Summer Day Camps Vienna 2018
Our eighth annual LETA ‘Summer Day Camps’ offer children the opportunity to experience English in fun ways. The camps include role play, outdoor activities, arts and crafts and science activities and these are in addition to our English classes. All of our experienced trainers are native speakers from the likes of Canada, Great Britain, South Africa, Australia, Ireland and America. Children will be supervised by our trainers in small groups, so that each child can experience individual attention. Our aim is for children to have fun and enjoy themselves while learning.

Programme:

Games, role play and singing songs
A variety of action and fun-filled games assist to intensify vocabulary as well as improve cognitive listening skills, motor skills and problem-solving skills. Games also help facilitate social development and satisfy childrens’ desires to master new vocabulary and concepts. In addition role playing and singing songs help promote a child’s imagination, improve self confidence and can give him or her a chance to discover new talents. Singing promotes memory, increases vocabulary, improves pronunciation and helps relate words with actions.

Outdoor and additional activities
Activities expand a child’s understanding of their environment. For example during the camps we will visit museums and afterwards the groups will discuss what they have seen and experienced.

Arts and Crafts
‘Crafting’ fosters creativity and imagination and gives children a sense of accomplishment. Arts and crafts also help children to develop listening skills as they learn how to follow directions in the English language.

Science Activities
We will enhance their understanding of sciences with fun, practical thinking activities. In addition, students will learn skills such as experimenting and observing.
